JOHN GOSDEN may not have had many runners in the the Freephone Stanleybet Lincoln over the years but his Desert Opal has caught the eye of punters ahead of the weekend.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned four-year-old, who will be only the second Gosden-trained runner in this race, has been cut to 10-1 third favourite (from 14s) by totesport, and is the same price (from 12s) with William Hill. The Mark Tompkins-trained Babodana has also come in for plenty of support yesterday and is down to 14-1 from 20-1 with Hills with Coral going 16s from the same price.

Coral have also cut Flighty Fellow to 25-1 (from 33-1).
