Police date for Fallon in race-fixing investigation
He is one of 22 people arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud following a major inquiry into corruption in racing.
Fellow jockeys Fergal Lynch and Darren Williams and trainer Karl Burke will answer police bail at the same time to answer questions over their alleged involvement in the fraud.
Fallon, who was arrested last month, said he had had been questioned about involvement with Miles Rodgers, formerly a director of the Platinum Racing Club syndicate.
Rodgers was warned off for two years by the Jockey Club in March after he was found to have laid two of his horses on Betfair.
He has since described the Jockey Club ruling as “a travesty” and denies any wrong-doing.
City of London Police, who are leading the inquiry, said six people have been arrested in the past few days, including a woman from Shrewsbury, a woman from Sheffield, a Doncaster man, two men from North Yorkshire and a Bristol man.
Officers confirmed that none of the six new arrests are jockeys or trainers.
During the investigation, more than 130 police officers have raided 19 addresses across Suffolk, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Hertfordshire.
Police are analysing more than 1,000 exhibits, including 59 phones and several computers.
Detective Chief Superintendent Steve Wilmott, leading the inquiry, said more arrests are likely in connection with the allegations and confirmed those on bail will return to the police next April.
Most of them had originally been bailed to appear at a police station next week.
He said: “We have made a large number of arrests, and we expect to carry out more over the next few months.
“This has grown into a huge investigation and will require more time and resources to fully investigate.”
“For this reason we have taken the decision to extend their bail to early next year.”
