Inca in top form

BRAVE INCA is in cracking form as trainer Colm Murphy puts the finishing touches to his Champion Hurdle preparations.

“The horse is in great shape, I am counting the days, indeed counting the hours, to Cheltenham at this stage,” reported Murphy at Thurles yesterday.

“On Saturday, he will go up to the Curragh and work on the Old Vic gallop. He will have one racecourse gallop before Cheltenham and I would think it will be at Leopardstown on Sunday week.”

Murphy indicated that Feathard Lady is recovering well from the leg injury which has prevented the mare from joining Brave Inca in the Champion Hurdle line up.

“She is progressing and there’s a small possibility could make Punchestown,” said Murphy. “We will let her tell us herself.”
