The Millstreet owned bitch never gave her supporters the slightest anxiety as she broke smartly from trap 4 to make every yard of the running and scoring by six lengths by Kilquane Moth.

The Liam O’Callahane-trained Safe Driver justified favouritism in the second of the sprint races, clocking an excellent 17.51. He hit the bend ahead of Ballymac Serina and held his advantage to the line .
The only other greyhound to break the 29.00 barrier was Jamaica Reef in the 9th race. Led into the bend by both Knockane Blackie and Toumpane Zola he took the lead at the sprint trap but then had to withstand strong late renewed effort from Knockane Blackie when winning by a neck in 28.85.
