No Crystal in Dublin Horse Show

Show-jumper Cian O’Connor confirmed yesterday he had withdrawn his main horse, Waterford Crystal, from the Dublin Horse Show which begins today.

No Crystal in Dublin Horse Show

The Meath-based rider made the decision on veterinary advice after the horse was discovered to have a slight cough.

“The Dublin Horse Show is very important to me,” said the 24-year-old yesterday.

“But the Olympics have to be my main focus so the decision was easy,” he said.

O’Connor can call upon Irish Independent Annabella if selected to contest Friday’s Aga Khan trophy.

The team for that will be selected on Thursday.
