DOUBLE HEADER: After a challenging start to life back in the top tier following last season’s promotion, the Garryduff side will be eager to get some more points on the board.

Cork Church of Ireland men are braced for a demanding double-header this weekend against Dublin opposition. After a challenging start to life back in the top tier following last season’s promotion, the Garryduff side will be eager to get some more points on the board.

Corinthians visit Garryduff on Saturday, with C of I needing to keep a close eye on Munster native Greg Williams, who has been in excellent goalscoring form this season.

On Sunday, they travel to Monkstown hoping to spring an upset and claim vital points.

On the women’s front, Catholic Institute find themselves in unfamiliar territory. Having spent recent seasons battling for titles, the Limerick outfit now sit bottom of EYHL Division 1 and face a daunting weekend against title contenders Old Alexandra and Railway Union.

At the top of the table, Loreto will look to maintain their perfect start as they take on Queens University and Ulster Elks.

In the Munster Senior League, the standout fixture sees Bandon men travel to Midleton. Promoted last season, Midleton have shown they can compete with established sides under Darren Wilkinson’s guidance.

Bandon, meanwhile, will be determined to secure three points to keep their title ambitions on track.

In the women’s competition, Harlequins laid down a marker with a commanding 6–0 win over Ashton on Thursday night, keeping them within touching distance of leaders UCC.

The students face Bandon on Saturday, while Crescent will aim to stay in contention when they meet Cork C of I at Garryduff.
