Ireland duo Ellen Walshe and Mona McSharry kicked off the third and final stop of the 2025 World Aquatics World Cup in impressive fashion, winning silver and bronze, and both setting new Irish records on the opening day of racing in Toronto.

Walshe, who claimed silver in the 200m Butterfly last week, did so again in Toronto with a time of 2:02.73 in last night’s final, setting a new Irish senior record.
