Heptathlete Kate O'Connor has spoken of her pride as she tried to wrap her head around the significant piece of history she made on Saturday in Tokyo.
The Dundalk native produced a performance for the ages hitting five personal bests across the seven events to win silver at the World Championships. It was Ireland's first track and field medal at a major global outdoor championships since 2000, a run of 18 events across Olympics and World Championships.
