Veteran PJ Cooney ends long wait for All-Ireland glory
Ulster had a double at u16. Caolan Carr, son of former World Champion Eddie, beat Culann Bourke. Megan O’Reilly retained her u16 title at the expense of Órla Ní Mhurchú.
PJ Cooney ended his long wait for an All-Ireland title when he comfortably beat Ulster’s Mikey Rafferty in Saturday’s veteran (over-50) final at a sun-scorched Castletownkenneigh.
He opened with a big bowl to the start of the railing.
