Loreto clinched the EYHL 1 title on Saturday with a 2-0 win over UCC. It means they cannot be caught at the top with a round of games still to play.

The result sees UCD complete their turnaround to climb into the Champions Trophy Play-Off places while Institute go two points clear in third.

Pembroke Wanders nabbed a tight 1-0 win at home to Ards, securing them a place in the topflight next season and condemning Ards to relegation.

In the Men’s EYHL, Three Rock Rovers — inspired by a standout performance from Ben Johnson — came from behind to claim a statement win over league leaders Lisnagarvey.

The result leaves both sides level on points heading into a thrilling final round next weekend.

Elsewhere, Corinthian pulled off a major upset against Banbridge to hold on to their Play-Off position, while simultaneously ending Banbridge’s hopes of a top-two finish.

In men’s EYHL 2 Cookstown went unbeaten in Pool A by beating Bandon 5-2 while C of I left it late but overcame Kilkenny with goals from Gearoid Cashman and Jamie Horgan.

In Pool B Harlequins had a duo of wins over Kilkeel with Julian Dale hitting five in the two games, bringing his total for the season to a staggering 60 goals.

In women’s EYHL 2 Harlequins women were beaten by a single goal in the final quarter at home to Muckross.

Ashton were also well beaten by a hugely impressive Queens University who top Pool B going into the playoffs.
