Sarah Slattery’s seventh-place finish in the Para dressage was Ireland’s best result on the penultimate morning of Paralympic action.

Having finished ninth in qualifying, one place outside the top eight spots, Slattery, as first reserve, received an 11th hour call up to Saturday morning’s Grade V Freestyle final after one of the top eight qualifiers withdrew. Her score of 71.795 saw her place seventh of the eight competitors in the field.
