Marley misses out on medal chance but Moorehouse decision far worse

TOUGH DAY: Jack Marley’s hopes of guaranteeing a heavyweight medal came up short against the impressive and elusive No.2 seed Tajikistani Davlat Boltaev in the quarter-final. Daina Moorehouse lost her bout in controvisal fashion which left Team Ireland fuming.

Jack Marley’s hopes of guaranteeing a heavyweight medal came up short against the impressive and elusive No.2 seed Tajikistani Davlat Boltaev in the quarter-final. He lost it 4-1 but it wasn’t that close and it wasn’t the only strange judging decision of the night.
