European Championships: Who is in action and will Ireland win more medals?

Here we are, another day, another chance to cheer on those donning green in Rome.Â
Wednesday evening will see a number of our very talented athletes put their all into securing more medals for Ireland.
In the 90-year history of this event, across 25 previous editions, only Sonia O'Sullivan had won gold for Ireland before.Â
She's now joined in that club by Rhasidat Adeleke, Sharlele Mawdsley, Thomas Barr, Chris O'Donnell and Ciara Mageean.
The order the four Irish women line up in - in the 4x400m final - will be confirmed later.Â
However, it's likely to be Sophie Becker leading them off, who will hand over to Adeleke, followed Phil Healy on the third leg, with Mawdsley on anchor.Â
Will yet more gold be draped around Adeleke's and Mawdsley's necks?

Perhaps, but The Netherlands – a modern-day superpower of the women’s 4x400m relay – and Poland will also have a big say on the outcome.Â
The European Athletics Championships take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
You can watch it all live on RTÉ Two with coverage commencing at 8pm.
Sophie Becker, Rhasidat Adeleke, Phil Healy, Sharlene Mawdsley, women’s 4x400m final.
Brian Fay, Peter Lynch, Efrem Gidey, Barry Keane, Cormac Dalton, men’s 10,000m.
Andrew Coscoran, men’s 1500m final.
If the Irish run to form in the women's 4x400 final, a medal looks certain.
