Margaret Cremen won silver for Ireland in the lightweight women's single sculls at the European Rowing Championships in Hungary on Sunday.

The 25-year-old was competing in the single as her double sculls partner Aoife Casey was forced to withdraw from the championships due to illness. Cremen and Casey qualified the Irish women's lightweight double sculls boat for the Olympics at last year's World Championships.
