A game of patience and three goals in four minutes late on saw Ireland men open their Paris Olympic qualifying account with a 5-1 victory over Ukraine on Sunday night.

Lee Cole scored a fine double while Jeremy Duncan also scored on his 100th cap against a tiring but dogged Ukraine outfit.
