Two of Ireland's boxers have earned at least a bronze medal each at the World Youth Championships in Russia.

Gabriel Dossen beat Rohan Polanco of the Dominican Republic to progress to the light welterweight semis after all five judges found in his favour in St. Petersburg.

Michael Nevin also got into the middleweight semi-finals after his win over Lithuania's Vytautas Balsys.

Four of the five judges had the Portlaoise boxer up on the scorecards.

However, Christopher O'Reilly was beaten in the light heavyweight quarter finals.
