Irish athletes will hope to bring the focus back to sport today - with Thomas Barr gunning for a medal in the 400 metres hurdles final.

Golf

Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow resume from three over par and six over par respectively ahead of the second round of the Golf tournament.

Maguire is out at 1.25pm with Meadow getting underway shortly before three.

Pentathlon

Natalya Coyle and Kilkenny's Arthur Lannigan-O'Keeffe both begin their campaigns in the Modern Pentathlon; Coyle at 2pm and Lannigan-O'Keeffe at 6.30pm.

Triathlon

The Waterford man has already broken his own the Irish record on the way to the final. It's been an eventful season for the University of Limerick based runner who was sidelined for 10 weeks with a hip injury.
