LISTEN: Sports Minister says he thought deal was done to keep Billy Walsh

The Minister for Sport Michael Ring has said that he thought that a deal to keep Billy Walsh as head coach of the Irish High Performance Unit had been agreed.

Walsh today announced that he intends to take up a new role with USA boxing, claiming that the Irish Amateur Boxing Association "have not made it possible for me to continue on in the role".
