Ciaran O Lionaird has won bronze for Ireland in the men's 3000m at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Gothenburg.

O Lionaird ran a personal best time of 7:50.40, pipped for silver in the closing straight as he was overtaken by Spaniard Juaan Carlos Higueiro.

Azerbaijani Hayle Ibrahimov won gold.
