Ireland have won gold and silver medals this afternoon at the Paralympic Games in London.

Hand cyclist Mark Rohan has won a second gold medal.

The Westmeath man won the Individual H 1 Road Race at Brand Hatch this afternoon having trailed for the bulk of the race.

Rohan finished just two seconds clear of his nearest competitor.

Wexford's Catherine O'Neill has claimed a silver medal in the discus after a season's best throw.

This evening, 100 metres gold medallist Jason Smyth runs in the 200 metres final while Kilkenny's Raymond O'Dwyer is involved in the men's discus throw - F32/33/34.
