Contador continues on path to Giro victory

Alberto Contador remained on course to win the Giro d’Italia heading into tomorrow’s 21st and final stage as Movistar rider Vasili Kiryienka claimed victory on stage 20.

Spanish rider Contador, a three-time winner of the Tour de France, finished just under six minutes off the winning pace set by Kiryienka and finished eighth to maintain his lead in the overall standings over Italy’s Michele Scarponi.
