Belgian cyclist Wouter Weylandt has died after crashing on the third stage of the Giro d’Italia today, his Leopard Trek team have confirmed.

Belgian cyclist Wouter Weylandt has died after crashing on the third stage of the Giro d’Italia today, his Leopard Trek team have confirmed.

The 26-year-old rider fell with 25 kilometres remaining and was unconscious with blood coming from his mouth and nose before medics gave him a cardiac massage at the scene.
