Top seed Elena Dementieva continued her fine form to reach the final of the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur.

The Russian, the world number seven, has not lost a set so far in the tournament and proved far too strong for Germany's Sybille Bammer as she recorded a 6-3 6-1 victory.

She will meet compatriot Alisa Kleybanova after the fourth seed also secured a straight-sets win as she beat Japan's Ayumi Morita 6-4 6-1 to reach her first Tour final.
