Simon stuns Federer

Gilles Simon caused a major upset in the Tennis Masters Cup today with victory over four-time champion Roger Federer.

The eighth seed, who was a late replacement for injured world number one Rafael Nadal in Shanghai, hit back from a set down to record a 4-6 6-4 6-3 result in the opening match of the Red Group.
