Pro-Tibet British on way home

Two British Free Tibet campaigners have left China after they were arrested for unfurling a Tibetan flag and banner outside the Olympic stadium, their campaign group said today.

A spokesman for Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) said Lucy Fairbrother, aged 23, and Iain Thom, aged 24, sent text messages to family members saying they were getting on a flight to Frankfurt in Germany.

It is not known when the pair, who were arrested alongside two US activists, will return to the UK.
