David O'Loughlin is set to represent Ireland at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing.

David O'Loughlin is set to represent Ireland at this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing.

O'Loughlin will compete in the Men's individual pursuit after intense lobbying with the International Cycling Union.

His nomination is expected to be formally confirmed by Cycling Ireland in the coming days.
