Andy Murray extended his stay at the Open Sabadell Atlantico in Barcelona by reaching the second round of the doubles alongside Londoner Ross Hutchins.

Andy Murray extended his stay at the Open Sabadell Atlantico in Barcelona by reaching the second round of the doubles alongside Londoner Ross Hutchins.

The pair beat veteran Swedish pair Thomas Johansson and Robert Lindstedt 6-4 2-6 10-3 to set up a meeting with Kevin Ullyett and Jeff Coetzee in the second round.

The British duo comfortably took the first set, breaking their opponents twice before struggling in the second as they were broken twice while wasting an opportunity themselves.

But Murray and Hutchins made relatively light work of the deciding match tie-break, winning it 10-3.
