Murray sees in 2008 with singles win
Andy Murray won one and lost one at the Qatar Open in Doha today but will be contented with the way 2008 has begun.
The British number one outclassed Belgium’s Olivier Rochus 6-0 6-2 in the first round of the singles this afternoon in what was his first competitive action since splitting with former coach Brad Gilbert in November.
And the fact that, alongside fellow Briton Ross Hutchins, he was equally outplayed 6-3 6-0 by men’s doubles top seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic this evening should do little to dampen his spirits.
