Valverde takes stage as Armstrong reclaims yellow
Spain’s Alejandro Valverde won stage 10 of the Tour de France on a day when Lance Armstrong regained the yellow jersey.
The 181-kilometre stage from Grenoble to Courcheval saw the Texan and his Discovery team use the first mountaintop finish of this year’s race to stamp their authority on the tour.
Jens Voigt, who started the day in yellow, dropped a long way down the standings while Armstrong’s biggest rival Jan Ullrich is now over four minutes off the pace.
