The woman who is the fastest person ever to sail solo around the world is back on the water again.

The woman who is the fastest person ever to sail solo around the world is back on the water again.

Ellen McArthur is attempting to break another world record in a 100-mile sprint across the British Channel from Plymouth to Roscoff in France. It is hoped the 28-year-old will set a time others can challenge - the fastest in the next year will win the new Brittany Ferries 100-mile trophy.

It is estimated the sail will take between five and seven hours.
