Rás riders to travel from Lisdoonvarna to Templemore today

The Fourth Stage of the FBD Insurance Rás is due to get underway this morning.

Today's stage will bring the riders on a 162km trek from Lisdoonvarna in Co Clare to Templemore in Co Tipperary.

England's Chris Newton will be wearing the leader's yellow jersey after winning the last two stages of the event to open up an eight-second lead over Malcolm Elliot.

Tim Barry is best of the Irish competitors after climbing from sixth to fourth in the overall standings with a fifth-placed finish yesterday.
