Agassi adances to semis in Stockholm

Top seed Andre Agassi advanced to the semi-finals of the Stockholm Open with a 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 victory over eighth-seeded Fernando Verdasco of Spain.

Meanwhile, top seed Marat Safin saw his winning run come to a shuddering halt when he lost to Michael Llodra in the quarter-finals of the St Petersburg Open. Safin, who won the Tennis Masters Madrid last week, was downed 6-4 6-1 by the seventh-seeded Frenchman.
