Greek sprinters Kostas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou today had their missed drugs test case referred to the IAAF by the IOC’s executive board.

The athletes’ coach Christos Tzekos also had his case referred to the IAAF.

All three surrendered their accreditations for the Games at an IOC disciplinary hearing this morning.

Kenteris and Thanou, who missed random drug tests last Thursday, had already announced this morning that they would not be competing in Athens.

But now the ball is in the court of the IAAF who have the power to impose a ban on the pair.
