The Irish Olympic athlete who was injured in a car crash yesterday is due to arrive home today by air ambulance.

Twenty-four-year-old Jamie Costin is suffering from fractures in his toe and spine after the car he was driving hit a truck.

Doctors say his injuries may prevent him from competing in the future. He is due to undergo surgery in the Mater Hospital in Dublin later.
