Burnett continues strong performance

Derek Burnett, from Athlone, continued where he left off yesterday in Athens in the trap shooting competition.

The 33-year-old registered a perfect score in the opening round and missed just three of his next 50 attempts to finish the opening day in joint ninth position.

And that is the position he finds himself in so far today after scoring 24 for an overall aggregate score of 96.
