Capriati to face Clijsters in semi

Jennifer Capriati will face Kim Clijsters in the semi-final of the WTA Championships.

The American claimed the last semi-final place after beating Anastasia Myskina 7-5 5-7 6-4 in the round-robin series of matches in Houston.

Amelie Mauresmo will play Justine Henin-Hardenne in the other semi.

The Frenchwoman claimed her place after Chanda Rubin was beaten by Elena Dementieva 4-6 7-5 6-1.

Ai Sugiyama beat Henin-Hardenne 6-2 6-4 but the Belgian had already qualified for the semis.
