Tim Henman progressed into the second round of Wimbledon today despite a jittery start to his bid of becoming the first British man to lift the title for 67 years.

Fans wearing Union flags, patriotic hats, and sporting brightly painted faces packed the All England Club to watch his victory over little known Czech qualifier Thomas Zib.

Filling every seat of Court 1 and taking up every blade of grass available on Henman Hill, fans cheered on the 28-year-old as he beat Zib, the world number 157, 6-2, 7-6, 3-6, 6-1.
