Venus to strong for Barna

Australian Open second seed Venus Williams struggled to hold her serve against German Anca Barna, but she still had too much firepower and won through to the last 16 without expending too much energy.

Barna succeeded in forcing 12 break points through the match, but she converted only two as Williams secured a 6-1 6-4 win.
