Chanda Rubin upset Serena Williams in the quarter-finals of the JPMorgan Chase Open in California, ending the French Open and Wimbledon champion's 21-match winning streak.

Rubin produced a memorable 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 victory over the top-seed to secure a semi-final slot against number four-seed Jelana Dokic.
