Henman back in front against Sa

Tim Henman hit back to win the third set 6-4 in his quarter-final clash against Andre Sa on Centre Court.

After an unpredictable set full of break points, Henman came from a break down to take the set on Sa's serve.

But Henman started off badly in the first game of the third set, double faulting before netting a forehand to give Sa another two break points. Henman saved the first with a typical serve-volley point, but Sa forced his opponent to volley into the net on the second to earn the early break.

However, the fourth seed was back on level terms in the next game. A fine forehand passing shot followed by two errant volleys by Sa handed Henman the break back.

The match followed it's unpredictable flow as Sa established another break point even though Henman was 40-15 up. A superb kick serve saved that and two more serve-volley points game Henman a 2-1 lead.

The break points continued to come, this time Henman creating three off the Sa serve, but each time the Brazilian came up with big serves and fine volleys to snuff out the danger.

Finally some order came to proceedings as Henman comfortably won a game on his serve for the first time in five attempts and Sa followed suit, dropping just one point.

Henman went 4-3 up after another unsure service game and, after opening up a 30-0 lead on Sa's service, established a break point, which Sa saved comically - Henman unable to get out of the way of a mis-hit forehand. The Brazilian went on to hold serve and level at 4-4.

Henman was taken to deuce in his next game, but gamely held on to serve and move within one game of the set.

And in the 10th game came the break. A couple of nervy volleys handed Henman two set points, but the backhand passing shot landed wide. However, a forehand passing shot after Sa failed to put away a volley gave Henman the set and a 2-1 lead.
