Serena Williams cruised into the second round at Wimbledon with a straight sets demolition of Australia’s Evie Dominikovic.

The second seed lost just two games as she completed a 6-1 6-1 victory in commanding fashion.

The 20-year-old is scheduled to meet older sister Venus in the final in a repeat of this month’s French Open final and the defending champion was on Centre Court to watch the match.

After breezing through the opening set, Williams broke Dominikovic’s serve in the opening game of the second set to effectively end the match as a contest.

Two further breaks sealed a comprehensive victory, a thumping forehand winner on match point summing up the difference in power between the two players.
