Tennis: Johansson first man to reach semis

Sweden's Thomas Johansson is the first man to book his place in the semi-finals of the Australian Open after defeating Jonas Bjorkman in a four set thriller in Melbourne.

Bjorkman failed to repeat the heroics that saw him overcome British number one, Tim Henman, in the fourth round.

Johansson will now meet either Jiri Novak of the Czech Republic or Austria's Stefan Koubek.
