America and Russia set to shine at US Open
American sisters Venus and Serena Williams are to meet in the women’s final of the US Open tonight.
It is the first time since 1884 two sisters have come head to head in a grand slam final.
Both have won the title once before, but Venus is tipped to retain the trophy this year.
In the men’s, Russia’s Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Marat Safin both face semi-finals today.
Kafelnikov is first in action against Australian Leyton Hewitt while Safin is to challenge four-times winner Pete Sampras.
