Fifth seed Lleyton Hewitt was given all the problems he could handle in his third round Wimbledon clash with Moroccan outsider Younes El Aynaoui but finally broke serve in the 11th game of the first set which he captured 7-5.

The 20-year old Australian, having survived a big-serve battle against American Taylor Dent in the previous round, again found himself match for power on the delivery.

And Hewitt, the title-winner at Queen’s two weeks ago and a live contender for success at the All England Club, was also surprised at his opponent’s impressive mobility around the court.

But the 29-year-old El Aynaoui, ranked 88 in the world and a regular Wimbledon visitor, just dropped his level a little to give Hewitt a chance which he punched home in emphatic fashion.
