Tennis: Hingis, Capriati and Henin through to semis

Martina Hingis, Jennifer Capriati and Justine Henin are all through to the semi-finals of the French Open.

Martin Hingis defeated Francesca Schiavone 6-1, 6-4 to progress to the next round.

Belgian Justine Henin raced through her quarter-final tie against Russian Lina Krasnoroutskaya and defeated her 6-1, 6-2.

However, Australian Open champion Jennifer Capriati made harder work of her match against fellow American Serena Williams.

The match went to a third set after Williams came back in the second, forcing and winning a tie-break.

However, Capriati regained form in the third and defeated her 6-2, 7-5, 6-2.
