Yugoslav-born Jelena Dokic has taken a parting shot at Australian tennis officials for forcing her out of her adopted country.

Yugoslav-born Jelena Dokic has taken a parting shot at Australian tennis officials for forcing her out of her adopted country.

Dokic, who played for Australia at the Sydney Olympics last September, moved to Florida with her family in January.

She had lived in Australia since 1994.

Dokic said: "I was pushed out of Australia by the media and Tennis Australia.

I felt they really wanted me out.

"I know I made the right decision. Nobody bothers me in Florida."
