Top seed Tim Henman overcame a mid-match slump to defeat Slava Dosedel and move into the second round of the Copenhagen Open.

He was broken twice early in the first set, but recovered to win it 6-4.

However, he lost his way in the second set and Czech Dosedel took full advantage, winning it 6-2 to level the match. Henman broke the next set immediately and Dosedel crumbled 6-1.

Henman will now face Switzerland's George Bastl, who squeezed past Israel's Noam Behr 6-7 7-6 6-3.

Another boost for Henman was the shock exit of second seed Vladimir Voltchkov, from Belarus, who surrendered 6-4 6-2 to Zimbabwe's Wayne Black.
