Irishman is Bolt’s agent

IRISHMAN Ricky Simms is Usain Bolt’s agent and, as such, will reap some of the benefits of his success.

Simms, who hails from Donegal, used to compete with Finn Valley AC himself but went to London to join the late Kim McDonnell’s KIM team that was responsible for organising the Kenyan athletes in Europe and also looked after the interests of Ireland’s star athlete, Sonia O’Sullivan.

Following the untimely death of Kim McDonnell, he took care of the Kenyans and has built up something of an empire for himself.
