As you were in Tour of Britain

Lack of decisive climbs on stage three of the Tour of Britain yesterday ruled out the possibility of any change to the top of the leaderboard.

Colombian Mauricio Ardilia is still at the head of the standings with two stages remaining. Philip Deignan from Letterkenny made a forward move and is now 15th, just 18 seconds behind the leader.

Yesterday’s 120-mile stage, which finished in Nottingham, was won by Belgium’s ace sprinter Tom Boonen.

Ciaran Power was also happy with his 8th place on the stage. Tim Cassidy was next best of the Irish in 14th place followed by Tommy Evans 5 seconds behind the stage winner as were, Páidí O’Brien (36th), David O’Loughlin (50th), Deignan (52nd) and David McCann (53rd).
