Munroe wins final stage in Tour of Wales

IRELAND’S Martin Munroe was victorious in the final stage of the Junior Tour of Wales yesterday.

And in addition to Munroe’s stage win the Grant Thornton Team Ireland squad emerged ahead of the competition to take the overall team honours on the three-day, five stage event.

The Irish team of Martin Munroe, Mark Nestor, Ciaran Kelly and Maurice O’Brien took the team prize on three separate stages and the overall team prize by 14 minutes.

The Grant Thornton Team Ireland squad performed strongly throughout, with Martin Munroe finishing third on general classification following his win final stage, followed by Mark Nestor, who finished 5th on general classification.
